Bayer Built Bathrooms

Safer Bathrooms. Stronger Lives.

At The Bayer Foundation, we believe healing begins at home—especially in the bathroom, where slips and falls can turn a daily routine into a source of fear, injury, or even hospitalization.

That’s why we launched Bayer Built Bathrooms, a safety-focused bathroom initiative that prioritizes dignity, mobility, and comfort. Every remodel is designed with the realities of chronic pain and aging in mind, using proven safety features that reduce fall risk and restore peace of mind.

What We Build

Our safety remodels combine clinical logic with home-like warmth, including:

  • Slip-resistant shower pans – textured surfaces reduce slipping even when wet

  • Grab bars – professionally installed in the most critical locations for real support

  • Low- or no-threshold shower entries – safe, accessible, and beautiful

  • Ergonomic layouts – designed to reduce strain, pain, and risk for those with limited mobility

  • Optional seated bathing solutions – including safety tubs or built-in benches

Why It Matters

  • 1 in 4 Americans aged 65+ falls each year — and over 80% of those falls happen in the bathroom.

  • Falls are the leading cause of injury-related death among older adults.

  • Slippery tubs, poor lighting, and lack of support features are the top contributors.

Every project is built with compassion, not just construction—and remodel profits help fund our broader mission to end chronic pain.
